Celebrated superstar Moushumi is going to work in a new feature film styled Dula Bhai Jindabad.
The Dhallywood queen will work in the film under the direction of noted filmmaker Montazur Rahman Akbar.
Moushumi will be seen playing the role of the wife of Dipjol in the film produced by Nadir Khan and scripted by Abdullah Zahir Babu.
Moushumi said, “The storyline of the film is much to my liking and that I have decided to work in the film.”
“I hope the viewers will also enjoy my latest work besides finding me in a new and different avatar,” she added.
Akbar said, “If all goes as planed, the shooting for the film will begin in full swing in mid February.”
Moushumi has recently also signed a deal with Impress Telelfilm Ltd to play the lead in the film styled Ghum, directed by Kazi Hayat. Kazi Maruf, the son of Kazi Hayat, is going to star in the film opposite Moushumi.
Moushumi will play Neepa, a fish filleter, and Maruf will essay the role of Kashu, a street child known as Tukai who lives in a city slum, in the film.
Besides, Moushumi has paired up with noted actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba in a new telefilm styled Midnight Love.
Apurba has played Nahid, an assistant to a noted scientist, while Moushumi has essayed the role of Sohani Khan, a documentary maker, in the telefilm.
Moushumi is a Bangladeshi film actress and director, who got the National Film Award for Meghla Akash in 2002. She has acted in over 150 films and made her directorial debut with Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti in 2003. Moushumi began working as an actress and singer from an early age. She won the Anonda Bichittra Photo Beauty Contest, which led her to appear in television commercials in the 1990s.
She first appeared in the movie Keyamat Thake Keyamat opposite celebrated actor Salman Shah.
