Shakib Khan, better known as the King Khan of Dhallywood, has added another feather to his crown as his hit film Shikari has won an Indian award.
The Bangladesh-Kolkata joint production won the Best Film Award at the 25th Annual Kalakar Awards 2017 on Sunday.
Shakib said, “I am so glad because my film has got the award, actually, I worked hard for the film and through getting award I felt recognized for my work.”
“I would love to thank my audiences as their unconditional love and supports have made me today’s Shakib Khan,” he added.
Besides, Srabanti Chatterjee, who played the female lead opposite King Khan in the film, received the Best Actress Award for the same project.
Shikari was directed jointly by Zakir Hossain Simanto from Bangladesh and Joydeep Mukherjee from Kolkata. Produced under the banner of Jaaz Multimedia and Eskay Movies, the film also starred Rahul Dev, Amit Hasan, Kharaj Mukherjee, Shupriyo Dutta and Sabyasachi Chakrabarty in its pivotal roles.
Shakib has played a disguised professional assassin who has a mysterious past. He has been tasked with assassinating a top government official in the film.
