Keya Payel opens up about marriage, web film

Actress Keya Payel believes marriage will happen when the right time comes--and when it does, it could happen unexpectedly.

The actress sparked speculation after sharing a photo with actor Arifin Shuvoo on Facebook recently, accompanied by “Happily Married”. Many fans assumed Payel had secretly married. However, the post was later revealed to promote her first web film, “Happily Married”.

Directed by Zahid Preetam, the film is part of the “Ministry of Love” project and is scheduled to premiere on an OTT platform on 7 October.

The announcement has generated excitement among viewers. Some fans jokingly asked when Payel herself would become “happily married” and make a similar announcement.

Payel said she would certainly get married and would be happy when it happened. 

“I believe in destiny. So, let’s see when it happens. It will happen when it is written in my fate, and everyone will know about it. But I feel it might happen all of a sudden,” she told media.

For now, Payel is focused on her career. Alongside dramas, she is busy with endorsements and fashion shows. She is scheduled to travel abroad in early October and return later in the month.

Payel said she had received film and web-film offers for years but had been waiting for a role that would show audiences a different side of her.

“As I regularly work in dramas, I wanted audiences to see a different Payel in a film or web film,” she said, adding that Happily Married offered that opportunity.
