T Sports, Bangladesh's leading sports broadcaster, has announced it will be the official home of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Bangladesh, bringing every match of football's greatest tournament to millions of passionate fans across the country.

The 2026 edition is set to be the most expansive World Cup in the tournament's history. For the first time, 48 teams will compete across three host nations — the United States, Canada, and Mexico — in a format that promises more matches, more nations, and more drama than ever before. Bangladeshi audiences will have access to it all through T Sports' wide-ranging coverage, which will span live matches, expert analysis, highlights packages, exclusive features, and dedicated World Cup programming throughout the tournament.

T Sports chairman Safwan Sobhan emphasized on that in his statement, framing the deal as part of T Sports' long-term mission. "Our vision has always been to bring global sporting excellence closer to Bangladeshi audiences," he said. "This milestone reinforces our position as Bangladesh's leading sports broadcaster and reflects our continued investment in delivering world-class content, innovation, and fan engagement."

The acquisition of the FIFA World Cup 2026 broadcast rights marks a significant milestone for T Sports, reinforcing its standing as the premier destination for world-class sport in Bangladesh. Over the years, the broadcaster has consistently invested in bringing marquee international events to local audiences, and landing the rights to football's biggest prize represents the boldest statement yet of those ambitions.

Ishtiaque Sadeque, CEO of T Sports, said the broadcaster's vision extends well beyond simply putting matches on air. "The FIFA World Cup is more than a sporting event — it is a cultural phenomenon that unites people across borders, generations, and communities," he said. "We aim to create an immersive World Cup experience through comprehensive coverage, expert insights, innovative programming, and unmatched accessibility. We are proud that football fans across the country will once again call T Sports their home for the FIFA World Cup."

Few sporting events carry the cultural weight in Bangladesh that the FIFA World Cup does. Every four years, the tournament transforms neighbourhoods, tea stalls, and living rooms into communal viewing spaces, with fans debating tactics, celebrating goals, and mourning eliminations with equal fervour. The 2026 edition, with its record 48-team field and expanded schedule, is expected to generate an unprecedented level of engagement.

For T Sports, this is more than a broadcast deal. It is a statement of intent — a commitment to being at the centre of Bangladesh's biggest sporting moments, and to ensuring that when the world watches football, Bangladesh watches it here.
