Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan today said Awami League (AL) would never compromise with BNP and Jamaat, which are out to back terrorism and militancy.
"They have to pay for killing innocent civilians, torching drivers of the vehicles, burning national flag and uprooting thousands of trees. They have been entrapped by their own net," he said.
He came up with the observations while addressing a meeting of the port advisory committee at Bhomra Land Port in Satkhira, as the chief guest, BSS reports.
Lawmaker from Satkhira-2 constituency, Mir Mostak Ahmed, land port authority Tapan Kumar Chakraborty, administrator of the district administration Monsur Ahmed, deputy commissioner Nazmul Ahsan, superintendant of police Chowdhury Manjurul Kabir, addressed the meeting, among others.
"People, who do excesses with religion, will surely be brought to justice. Militants and terrorists could not win anywhere in the country. After losing supports of the people, BNP and Jamaat are now hatching conspiracies to turn Bangladesh into a failed state," Shajahan added.
