Two Indian held with 1.59 lakh rupee at Benapole

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members arrested two Indian citizens and recovered Indian currency worth of 1,59,000 rupee from Baro Achra border area of Benapole border of Jessore district on Tuesday night.

The arrestees were identified as Jainal, son of late Soyroddin, hailing from Naikeldanga village under Chakdah Police Station of Nadia district, India, and Raju Mondal, son of Shaheb Ali, a resident of Rosulpur village of the same area.

BGB battalion-26 camp commander at Benapole checkpost Ayub Ali said acting on secret information that two Indain citizens were going to pass the border with huge amount of Indain currency through Baro Achra border area, a team of the border force conducted a raid in the area at around 7.30pm and arrested the duo along with Indian currency worth of 1.59.000 rupee.
