Firefighters were left stunned when they found a pile of Bibles intact after a church fire in West Virginia.
Photos shared by the Coal City Fire Department show about a dozen of Bibles found in the rubbles after a devastating fire ravaged through Freedom Ministries Church in the early hours of March 3.
In the Facebook post , it says that the fire was so hot firefighters had to back out at one point.
As soon as they put out the fire, the team went through the charred wreckage and found the holy Bibles untouched by the flames.
The department wrote: "In your mind, everything should be burned, ashes. Not a single Bible was burned and not a single cross was harmed!
"Not a single firefighter was hurt! Prayers for the pastor and the congregation today."
The post has been shared over 35,000 times with hundreds of comments praising the power of God.
Facebook user Dean Vandall said he had witnessed similar incidents in the past 20 years.
He wrote: "Not one bible has burned, they might have smoke damage or charred around the edges but you could still read every page."
Beth Hill-brown also commented: "My dad had a car burn...the only thing salvageable was his bible that was inside the car. It's amazing to me."
Linda Meadows Woodall said: "God is more powerful than we could ever imagine."
