Award ceremony of art competition for special children

A ceremony was organized at Gallery Chitrak, Dhanmondi on Tuesday, where financial grants were handed over to multiple organizations working for the welfare of specially challenged children in Bangladesh. With this, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited continues to extend its support for the welfare of autistic and specially challenged children every year since 2009. Also, a ceremony was held to award the winners of an art competition for the special children. An exhibition of the participating artworks was also inaugurated on the occasion.

 

SEID Trust, Autism Welfare Foundation, Society for Welfare of Autistic Children, Scholars Special School, Proyash Bisheshayito Shikkha Protistahn, Alokito Shishu, Tauri Foundation -School For Gifted Children, Community Development Center are among the organizations that received contribution from Berger Paints.

 

The organizations were helped with financial aid for center operations, house rent, training center expenses, equipment for the disabled, appliances for special education, education expenses, calendar etc. according to the need of the organizations.

 

Since 2011, Berger Paints has been organizing art competitions for autistic and specially challenged children. The competition, organized annually, provided awards to six winners in two groups, Group A (6-10 years) and Group B (11-15 years).

 

In the ceremony, Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints, handed over the crests and Mr. Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager - Sales and Marketing awarded the prize money and certificates to the winners of the art competition. The winners are Rupkotha (1st), Adrita Shaha (2nd), Sreyash (3rd) in Group A and Anuska Sneha (1st), Hasin Mahmud Dhrubo (2nd), Md. Samir (3rd) in Group B. The judges of the competition were also present in the prize giving ceremony. They too handed over gifts to the winners.

 

An exhibition displaying all the 113 participating paintings was inaugurated by Ms. Rupali Chowdhury. The exhibition will be open for all from 26 February to 28 February 2019, every day 10am to 8pm at Gallery Chitrak.

 

Heads of functional departments of Berger Paints, high officials from Berger Paints and the welfare organizations were present in the auspicious ceremony.
