BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday called for a mass-movement from Bogura in a bid to free the party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
He said, “We have to start united movement from Bogura to free Khaleda Zia from jail, to bring back Tarique Rahman in the country and to establish democracy.”
He came up with the call while speaking at a view exchange meeting with the leaders and activists of Sadar Upazila BNP at a posh hotel in the district town at noon on Wednesday.
Fakhrul said, Awami League has become isolated from the mass people after the so called 11th parliamentary election. There is no smiling face in the country men. The ruling party has been turned into the enemy of the people, he added.
