Daily Sun journo Mirza Shameem laid to rest

Senior sub-editor of the Daily Sun Mirza Shameem Akhter passed away at a private hospital in the capital in the early hours of Thursday. He was 53.

 

Shameem, who was admitted to Better Life Hospital at Rampura on Monday, had been suffering from multiple complications, including serious lung infection, pneumonia and kidney ailment.

 

After his namaz-e-janaza during Isha prayer, he was laid to rest at the family graveyard at his village home. He hails from Joregachha Village under Sariakandi Upazila in Bogura.

 

Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, journalists and employees expressed deep shock at his untimely death.

 

In a condolence message, the Editor extended his sympathy to the bereaved family members of Mirza Shameem and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
