Former BNP leader Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, who rejoined politics and received nomination from Bikalpadhara Bangladesh, has quit poll race.
Talking to newsmen on Sunday, Shamsher Mobin, a presidium member of Bikalpadhara, said he is quitting his election race in support of the grand alliance candidate.
The former BNP leader secured Bikalpadhara’s nomination from Sylhet-6 constituency for the upcoming general election.
He had retired from the BNP politics as its vice-chairman in 2015.
Again he came back to the politics of Bikalpadhara on October 26, ahead of election.
Bikalpadhara is in an alliance with ruling Awami League, the ruling party that has given nomination to Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid as the candidate in the seat.
