The ruling Awami League will announce its 11th parliamentary election manifesto on December 18 targeting the young generation, according to the party insiders.
They also said an attractive charter like the previous one — Charter For Change — that earned people’s trust will be disclosed.
In a view-exchange meeting with the reporters in a city hotel, political adviser to prime minister and co-chairman of AL election steering committee HT Imam revealed the information.
He said: “Awami League is going to unveil its election manifesto on December 18 which will target the youths who will lead the country in the days to come.”
This time it will be a forward-looking charter to keep up the current pace of development, he said, adding that Prospective Plan (2021-2041) will be in special focus while Delta Plan 2021 will also get special attention.
Now Awami League focuses on the youth, and for this a number of young leaders have found place in the central body of Awami League.
“This time we have nominated many young leaders who have intellect and potential to take the country forward.”
“In 2008 manifesto, we declared a long-term plan. This time also we will unveil a similar plan. Since the fate of the country depends on the youth, our manifesto will be based on them,” said Imam.
“We would like to see a future Bangladesh which will be modern, scientific and prosperous like Malaysia and Singapore,” he hoped.
