Bangladesh opening batsman Liton Das was taken to a hospital after sustaining a blow on his right foot during the second ODI against Windies on Tuesday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The batsman got the blow while facing a delivery from Oshane Thomas. He went to flick the ball but missed and got the blow. He was attended by the Team physio immediately and stretchered out the field.
Quoting Bangladesh team manager Sabbir Khan UNB said that Liton was taken to a nearby hospital for a scan on his right foot.
The Windies have won the toss in the second ODI and decided to bat first. Tamim Iqbal opened the innings for the hosts along with Liton Das.
The Tigers won the first match on 9 December by five wickets. So the ongoing encounter could be a series-winning affair for the Tigers with a match to be played on 14 December at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
