Eminent photographer Anwar Hossain, who was found dead in a residential hotel in the city's Panthapath area on Saturday, was laid to eternal rest in the capital on Monday.
He was buried at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard in Mirpur in the afternoon following a namaz-e-janaza at Dhaka University central mosque after Zohr prayers.
Earlier, his body was taken to the Central Shaheed Minar around 11am where people from all walks of life paid their last tributes to the noted photographer.
Anwar Hossain, a Bangladeshi-born French citizen, was found dead at Olio Dream Haven Hotel on Saturday morning.
He had come to Dhaka for taking part in a photography competition as a judge.
