Do not get admission into banned medical colleges: Nasim

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim on Sunday asked the students not to get admitted into those private medical colleges banned by the ministry as the government would not take any responsibility for it.

“We would not take responsibility if any student gets admitted into those private medical colleges banned by the ministry for irregularities,” he said.

He was presiding over a meeting on the policy of private medical colleges, said a press release.

Nasin said “Moreover we would take stern action against the authorities of the banned private medical colleges and cancel the registration of the students,” he added.

He urged the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) to look into the matter of cancelation of registration of the students.

Secretary of the ministry GM Salehuddin, Chittagong Medical University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M Ismail, President of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) Prof Dr. Iqbal Arslan, Secretary General of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Dr M Ehteshamul Huq Dulal and BMDC President Professor Dr Shahidullah were present, among others.
