Jahurul Haque, acting Chairman of Bangladesh Telecom and Regulatory Commission, attended the launching event as the chief guest and made the inaugural call to Posts, Telecommunications and IT Minister Mustafa Jabbar from a new series number, at its head office Tiger’s Den in the city’s Gulshan area.
Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink, Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink, Ritesh Kumar Singh, Chief Commercial Officer, Banglalink and other high officials of the organization were present at the ceremony.
Banglalink pre-paid users having 019 number series will get new 014 series SIM cards for free after completing the NID verification, and enjoy 54p/min call rate for calls between those two numbers for lifetime.
In addition, upon recharging Tk 48 for the first time, customers can call to any operator at 1p/sec rate for 90 days. Furthermore, they will get an instant 1GB free data offer.
