A workshop on contribution of youths to implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was held in the capital.
The event titled “Youth Empowerment to Achieve SDG” was held at EMK center on Wednesday.A total of 70 youth participants from different parts of the country attend the programme.
Youth for Environmental Sustainability (YES), an organisation for sustainable development, arranged the event.
The workshop focused on- climate change and sustainable development of the country and the duties of youth groups to solve the problems.
SM Shaikat, a youth advisor (Asia Pacific Region) of UN Habitat, was present as the chief guest.
The first session was discussed ‘Urban Farming’ and the second and third were ‘Gender and Climate Change’, says a press release.
SM Shaikat shared his experience working with youth group at the United Nations and in Bangladesh.
