Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the aim of her government is to change the fate of the people who are living in remote rural areas as it was a dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The Prime Minister came up with the remark while inaugurating 33 development projects in 20 districts through videoconferencing at her official residence Ganobhaban in capital on Thursday.
Among the 33 projects, the Prime Minister inaugurated seven bridges, one jetty in Cox’s Bazar, eight administration buildings in nine upazilas, ten urban healthcare centres and six urban mothercare centres.
"Country's poverty has reduced to 21 percent from 40 percent. We are giving books for students at free of cost. We are providing healthcare services by community clinics for the betterment of the countrymen," the premier said.
