Museum on Independence should be established in every district and upazila of the country for the new generation, said Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of country’s leading Industrial conglomerate Bashundhara Group.
Sayem Sobhan, also the managing director of East West Media Group Ltd, came up with the observation after visiting Bangla Bazar Independence Museum in Bhola on Tuesday.
Accompanied by Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu, Sayem Sohan visited Bhola at the invitation of Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed.
The guests visited Bangla Bazar Independence Museum, Fatema Khanam Old Home, Fatema Khanam College and Fatema Khanam Medical College.
During the visit, Sayem Sobhan Anvir said it is the demand of time establishing such museum in every district and upazila to represent the real history of our Liberation War to the next generation.
Among others, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Captain ABM Tajul Islam (Retd.) MP, Square Group Managing Director Tapan Chowdhury, Islam Group Managing Director Manzurul Islam, and daily Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam were also present there.
