Bangladesh has been listed in Guiness World Record for cleaning campaign with the participation of over 15,000 people in a sweeping programme in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on April 13.
Bangladesh broke the record of India as they made Guinness World record for cleaning campaign earlier.
According to DSCC public relations officer, the authorities of Guinness Book officially confirmed the recognition on Monday.
The authirities of Guiness World Record, however, have registered 7,021 people for the cleaning campaign in Dhaka.
The DSCC made the new record when thousands of people took part in cleaning the road between Golap Shah Mazar and Zero Point of Dhaka around 10:50am on April 13.
According to DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon, a total of 15313 people took to the street with broom spontaneously in the cleaning campaign.
