Even after changing the film’s name from ‘LoveRatri’ to ‘LoveYatri’, an FIR has been lodged against the Bollywood actor Salman Khan and the team behind the movie for hurting religious sentiments.
The case has been filed at Bihar’s Muzzafarpur district following the order of the local court.
“An FIR was lodged on Friday against Salman Khan and six others including Aayush Sharma, Warina Hussain, director Abhiraj K Minawala, Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy in Mithanpura police station following the order of the court,” police station officer-in-charge Vijay Prasad Rai told IANS.
The title of the upcoming film was changed after receiving complaints that the movie demeaned the Hindu cultural festival of Navratri, reports The Statesman.
The film is set in Gujarat and it deals with love blossoming during the Navratri festival. It is directed by Abhiraj Minawala and written by Naren Bhatt. The film is set to release on October 5.
