Sylhet to become country’s first digital city

Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister, Mustafa Jabbar on Sunday said that Sylhet will be the first digital city of the country, reports UNB.

 

Attending a seminar on 'Inspire investors in Sylhet High-Tech Park' as chief guest the minister said, "Sylhet will be an example of digital city like Bengaluru in India. The government has taken initiatives to establish 12 high-tech parks in the country, after complete implementation of this projects, 20 lakh people will be employed in technology sector. The living standard of locals will be rapidly changed."

 

Bangladesh High-tech Park authorities and Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the seminar.

 

Sylhet's one will be the most beautiful high-tech park of the country, which will be built without hampering the nature, Mostafa Jabbar said.

 

The hardware and software industry of the country will be enriched if the investors from Sylhet come forth in this high-tech park, he said.
