Country’s first bicycle-rental service JoBike, which would allow riders to rent a bike from one's smartphone, is all set to roll out its full-fledged operation from Saturday.
Earlier they made a pilot run in Cox’s Bazar for around three months successfully with a view to providing economical and environment-friendly mode of transport for students, said a press release issued Friday.
With great response and demand for more bicycles from commuters during the pilot run period, 100 more bicycles have been brought for Jahangirnagar University campus and around 100 for Cox’s Bazar, said JoBike founder and chief executive Mehedi Reza.
JoBike has extended its service hours in Jahangirnagar University where riders can move around easily in the night and day between (8AM - 10PM) and commuters in Cox’s Bazar can enjoy making trips between (6AM - 6PM) daily, he said.
The company officials claimed JoBike will help to make Cox’s Bazar a greener and healthy tourist city, and further enhance its reputation as a world-class tourist destination.
