The government may raise the age limit of candidates aspiring to get into the government services.

Talking to journalist on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul said the discussion is on. The process has not begun yet, but it will start soon.

“The entry age limit of candiadtes for government services will go up,” he hoped.

But there’s no discussion on raising the retirement age for the government service holders.

The parliamentary standing committee on the public administration ministry recommended raising the age limit for entering government services to 35 years from 30 years now and the retirement age to 65 years from 59 years now.
