Oscar Bruzon keen to work with Bashundhara Kings

Internationally acclaimed coach Oscar Bruzon Barreras is all set to join Bashundhara Kings camp for the upcoming Bangladesh Premiere League (BPL) 2018 campaign. The celebrity coach has been a very successful in the subcontinent and has earned a name for himself for garnering local talents.

The report has been confirmed by reliable sources.

The forty years old Oscar Bruzon Barreras is from Spain. He is professional football manager and former football player. Bruzon is an experienced head coach and an UEFA Pro licence holder.

Bruzón played his professional football mainly in the 2nd Division of Spanish football, the Segunda División, with Celta de Vigo, Universidad de Las Palmas CF, and Pontevedra.

He is the first Spanish coach who has managed Clubs in India both in the I-League (India League) and the Indian Super league (ISL). His teams are characterised by the good treatment of the ball, high intensity and an optimal working ratio.

He won all the major trophies in his first season at Maldives. Bruzon is a highly qualified and ambitious professional football coach with over 12 years of experience coaching across the world with extensive stints in Europe and Asia.

He gained tremendous experience with more than 100 official games as a head coach in premier leagues, participated in international competitions such as AFC Cup and as a player at the UEFA Intertoto.

Meanwhile, Bashundhara Kings signed in two fresh faces namely, Bishal Das and Awlad, for their upcoming BPL campaign during a signing ceremony at Bashundhara Kings Headquarters in Bashundhara Residential Area on Saturday.

Bashundhara Kings President Imrul Hasan and its General Secretary Minhajul Islam Minhaj represented the club in the contract signing ceremony yesterday.

Bishal Das played for Brothers Union in BPL 2018. He is Bangladesh-born Spanish while Awlad has played in a club of Netherlands’ fourth division.

The club officials hoped that Kings will bring a fresh competition in the BPL tournament and will be a force to reckon with in the future.

Earlier, Kings sources confirmed that Mamun Ali, who played for Farashganj Sporting Club Ltd and Sohanur Rahman, former player of Chittagong Abahani Ltd, will be wearing Kings’ jersey in this season of BPL football.

Bashundhara Kings also roped in Mannaf Rabby, Krishna Kumar, Shoaib, Rakibul Hasan Tushar, Hemonto Vincent Biswas, Didarul Haque, Salahuddin, Towhidul Alam Sabuj, Nurul Nayeem Faisal and Mohammad Ibrahim for their maiden stint in the premier league of the country.
