The online registration for admission at Jahangirnagar University (JU) under 2018-19 academic session began on Thursday.
JU Vice-chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the registration process at a programme held at the council room of her office at 10 am.
While addressing, the VC urged the admission management committee to conduct the admission process in a fair and impartial manner.
JU Pro-VC (Academic) Professor Md Nurul Alam, Treasurer Professor Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, Acting Registrar Rahima Kaniz, deans of the faculties and directors of the institutes were present at the programme.
About the admission process, Deputy Registrar (Education-1) Abu Hasan said, “The process will continue till September 16.”
“Besides, the admission seekers will be able to pay the examination fees by September 21 while they will have to collect admit card by September 22,” he added.
Institute of Information Technology is conducting the online admission processes like previous years.

The admission test will begin on September 30 and will continue till October 11.
