Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Chief Whip of the opposition in parliament, will be buried at at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard in Dhaka today (Wednesday).
His second namaz-e-janaz will be held at family graveyard in Kurigram district today.
The first namaz-e-janaz of Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Chief Whip of the opposition in parliament, was held at the South Plaza of parliament in Dhaka after Asr prayer on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid rich tributes to Opposition Chief Whip in Parliament Tajul islam by placing wreaths on his coffin at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban on Tuesday.
The Jatiya Party presidium member breathed his last at United Hospital in the city around 11:45pm on Monday. He had been suffering from kidney and heart-related complications.
He is survived by his wife, 2 sons and a daughter and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
The veteran politician was elected MP seven times from the Kurigram-2 constituency, and also served a stint as Land Minister.
