Bangladesh cricket team continued their batting woes against West Indies and they are on the verge of suffering another humiliating Test defeat.
However, a six-member Bangladesh ODI team, splitting into two groups, took off for West Indies to play a three-match ODI series as many T20 Internationals on Friday evening.
The first batch of the team including Abu Hidar Rony, Nazmul Islam Apu, Sabbir Rahman and Mosaddek Hossain left Dhaka on Friday evening while the second batch including Anamul Haque and Mustafizur Rahman departed on Saturday morning.
Mashrafe’s West Indies tour was in doubt after his wife was appointed in hospital but she is currently out of danger.
According to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Mashrafe is almost confirmed to take off for West Indies on Monday if everything goes to be alright.
All six ODI members except Mashrafe took part in recently concluded three-match unofficial Test series against Sri Lanka A.
The rest of the ODI members are currently playing second Test match against West Indies. The three match ODI series will commence from July 22 in Guyana.
