West Indies won the toss and elected to field first against visiting Bangladesh in the 1st Test of the two-match series at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound in Antigua on Wednesday.
Abu Jayed, a 24-year-old medium pace bowler, is making his debut as the 88th Test player for Bangladesh in the match.
The game is the 13th Test meeting between the two nations since December 2002. In their previous 12 Test meetings, Bangladesh registered two wins against the West Indies in July 2009, two draws and eight losses.
