Quota reform movement leader Faruque shown arrested

Police on Tuesday has admitted that quota reform movement leader Faruque Hossain has been arrested in a case filed for torching the motorbike of Special Branch of Police.

 

Earlier, police repeatedly rejected the knowing of his whereabouts who (Faruk) has allegedly been missing since Monday,

 

Confirming the news, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said, "He will be produced before a Dhaka court this afternoon [Tuesday]."

 

Faruque, a joint convener of Bangladesh General Students’ Rights Protection Forum, was allegedly abducted by the members of BCL on Monday and since then he was missing.

 

Following Faruk’s disappearance, his brother Md Ariful Islam searched for him at the Shahbag, Ramna, New Market police stations on Tuesday, but he was not found anywhere.

 

Police shown him arrested in connection with a case relating burning of a motor bike.
