Amid much festivity and fanfare, members of Bangladeshi expatriate community in South Korea held a splendid Eid reunion in the country on Saturday.
Bangladeshi students from different Korean universities and their family members joined the reunion held on the Chonbuk National University campus in Jeonju city, Jeonbuk province.
BD Group Jeonju, an organization of Jeonju-based Bangladeshi expatriates, arranged the programme.
With Noman Shibly in the chair, Advocate Afzal Hossain moderated the reunion, while Kabir Russell delivered welcome speech on the occasion.
Professor Dr Han Jung Chae of Chonbuk National University attended the reunion as the chief guest.
Dr Abdul Latif Sarker, Dr Sanower Hossain, Dr Mehedi Hassan, Mohammad Motalib, Dr Sharifuzzaman Sabuj, Dr Happy Mostufa Jamal, Anisur Rahman Hirok and Mohammad Shamim Alamgir were present, among others.
The reunion featured food distribution, sports and cultural programmes and different contests.
