Yemen's President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi has named his country's United Nations ambassador as the new foreign minister, official media reported on Thursday.
The state-run Saba news agency said Khaled al-Yemany will replace Abdulmalek al-Mekhlafi, who will join Hadi's office as an "advisor".
Yemen's ambassador to the United States, Ahmed Bin Mubarak, will replace Yemany as UN envoy, Saba said.
Hadi's internationally recognised government, supported by a Saudi-led military coalition, has been battling Iran-backed Huthi rebels across much of the country since 2014.
The administration is currently based in the southern port city of Aden after the Huthis overran the capital, Sanaa. Hadi himself lives in Riyadh.
