The first namaz -e-janaza of Language Movement hero will be held at Dhaka University Central Mosque after Juma prayers.

His second janaza will be held at Jahangirnagar University after Asr prayers.

The eminent litterateur passed away at his residence in Bashundhara residential area in Dhaka around 9:30pm on Wednesday.
Born in Bogura on May 1, 1927, he got Ekushey Padak in 1981 and Swadhinata Padak in 2010.
Graduating from Calcutta University in 1948, Professor Mustafa Nur-Ul Islam did his post-graduation from Dhaka University and PhD from London University.
Prof Mustafa Nur-Ul Islam was the head of Bangla department of the Jahangirnagar University and also taught at the Rajshahi University.
