Nasrul aims to turn Power Division into a paperless office within 3 years

State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid has said the Power Division will be developed as a paperless office within next three years.

 

“We’ve been working with a plan to achieve this goal. This will happen when the increased application of technology will come to a balance to maintain the demand-supply situation,” he said while addressing the concluding session of “Innovation Showcasing 2018” at Bidduyt Bhaban in the city on Wednesday.

 

The Power Division organised the function to demonstrate some innovative ideas to ease the power sector services for the citizens to reach their doorsteps, reports UNB.

 

The Power Division has already piloted some 25 of the innovations out of 40 to enhance the service and improve its management efficiency.

 

With power secretary Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus in the chair, the function was also addressed by chief coordinator of the SDG Affairs of the Prime Minister’s Office Abul Kalam Azad, Cabinet Division secretary (coordination and reforms) Ziaul Haque and power Division’s chief innovative officer Maksuda Khatun.

 

The State Minister said the Power Division needs “enterprise resource planning” to ensure improved coordination among its subsidiary bodies for the sake of development of the country.

 

He specially laid emphasis on the strong coordination of the power generation, transmission and distribution and also the administrative managements for better a performance.

   

Nasrul Hamid said the innovation should be more communicating and the Power Division official needs to enhance their involvement with the common people.

 

He advised the officials to increase the use of technology and its application which will make their services more accessible for the people and also make them accountable to them.
