Dhaka University will hold its 51st convocation on October 6.
A preparatory meeting was held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university on Wednesday.
DU Vice chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman presided over the meeting.
To hold the convocation in a befitting manner, an executive committee, a managing committee and 26 sub-committees have been formed.
The VC asked all concerned to perform their respective tasks properly to ensure smooth holding of the convocation.
Liberian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Leymah Gbowee is likely to grace the occasion as the convocation speaker as his name has been proposed in this regard.
A decision has also been taken to confer him ‘Doctor of Laws’ degree at the convocation.
