UNICEF to develop a curriculum on C4D for Bangladesh

A Letter of Understanding (LoU) has been signed between University Grants Commission (UGC) and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) at UGC Bhaban on Thursday.

 

Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of UGC and Edouard Beigbeder, representative of UNICEF Bangladesh signed the LoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

 

The LoU aims to foster the Communication for Development (C4D) capacity of the academic institutions of the country.

 

Beigbeder said UNICEF was willing to work with UGC for developing curriculum on Communication for Development (C4D) at tertiary level education of Bangladesh.

 

Prof Abdul Mannan said C4D is very essential for socio-economic development of Bangladesh.

 

UNICEF's initiative to develop a curriculum on C4D to achieve results for children will play a significant role for qualitative development of higher education of Bangladesh, he said.
