Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in the capital on Monday with heart-related ailments.
He was taken to the emergency unit of the hospital in the afternoon. The attending doctors examined his pressure and heart.
Hospital sources said his blood pressure was found normal, but ECG test shows he has some heart complications.
Enamul Hoque was taken to the critical care unit (CCU) of the hospital for 24-hour observation.
A member of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Enamul Hoque joined the Daily Sun on April 5, 2017.
Earlier, he served as Minister (Press) in Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi for nine years.
He also worked with Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), bdnews24.com, News Today and other organisations.
Family members and colleagues requested countrymen and well-wishers to pray for his early recovery.
