Speakers underscored the need for having good command over English language to acquire the core skills of learning and to become a global citizen.
The observation was made on Thursday at an orientation program organised by Wenlyn Global Group [WGG] at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) as part of all government medical colleges across the country.
Principal of the College, Professor Dr Nurul Islam attended the event as chief guest while Professor Selina Anowar, Head of Anatomy department was present as special guests with Regional coordinator, Dil Afroza Binte Akhter in the chair.
International ELT program moderator Iqbal Sharif Biru was present as the key note speaker.
The event was attended by academics, researchers, educators, ELT faculty members of Wenlyn Global Group and students of the college.
Speakers said to build leadership and to create a sense of internationalism among the learners is very important as they have to face the challenges of the future world. So, learning the global language is essential to ensure quality education and skills.
