Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday said BNP is now isolated from the people as it has emerged as a party of complaints.
"BNP is now merely considered as a party of complaints," he told a public rally of district Awami League at Muslem Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Narsingdi Thursday afternoon.
The minister said BNP has no strength to wage any movement as they neither did that in the last nine years nor can do in future.
State Minister for Water Resources and Narsingdi district AL President Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Bir Protik, chaired the rally while AL advisory council members Mozaffar Hossain Paltu and Mukul Bose, Labour Affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj, AL Central Working Committee members Advocate Nurul Mazid Humayun, MP, and Advocate Reazul Kabir Kawser, MP, and Jubo League general secretary Harun-or-Rashid, among others, spoke.
Quader urged the party leaders and workers not to give shelter to opportunists in the party as they will have no trace if AL does not remain in power.
"Evaluate the devoted workers of our party. Dedicated party workers are the strength of Awami League and the spirit of Liberation War remains alive robustly because of them," he said.
The AL general secretary also urged the party leaders and workers to work for the candidate who will get party ticket to vie the next general polls forgetting all differences among them.
