Bangladesh Nobel laureate Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus was sued on allegation of fraud charges on Tuesday.
Bahaudl Islam, owner of contracting organization Taj Enterprises, has filed the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Subrata Ghosh Shuvo.
Accepting the case, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Subrata Ghosh Shuvo has ordered the Pallabi Police Station officer-in-charge in the capital to submit the probe report after completion of the investigation in the case.
Yunus set up Grameen Bank in 1983 to make collateral-free micro loans to rural entrepreneurs.
In 2011, he was forced off the bank's board.
