The US-Bangla Airlines authorities has suspended all flight operations between Dhaka and Kathmandu for indefinite period.
The decision came on Wednesday, two days after an aircraft of the airlines boarding 71 passengers and crew crashed in Nepal’s Kathmadu airport, leaving at least 51 people dead.
According to airline spokesman Kamrul Islam, they have stopped operating the Dhaka-Kathmandu-Dhaka flights from Wednesday.
Kamrul Islam, general manager (public relations) of the US-Bangla Airlines said, “Due to shortage of aircrafts, the flight operations between Dhaka and Kathamandu have been shut from today (Wednesday).”
He said flights on other domestic and international routes are being operated as per schedule.
