Tigers’ opener Soumya Sarkar caught out in third over after a steady start in the second match of the tri-nation T20 international tournament Nidahas Trophy against India in R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Thursday evening.
Indian fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat dismissed Soumya Sarkar (14) at 2.4 over.
Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has invited Bangladesh to bat first.
Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah admitted that he would have also bowled first if they had won the toss. The Tigers have six batsmen and five bowlers in their starting lineup.
It is the sixth T20 between these teams and India have claimed victory in each of the previous five clashes.
India have been victorious in six of their eight outings at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, compared to Bangladesh who have won one and lost one at this venue, both those games coming in April 2017 v Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh have won just one of their last 13 T20 matches overall, beating Sri Lanka by 45 runs at this venue in April 2017.
The young Indian side, which lost their opener against hosts Sri Lanka by five wickets on Tuesday, have gone in with an unchanged XI at the R Premadasa Stadium.
