Health Minister Mohammed Nasim on Wednesday said the country has now most favorable environment for the foreign investment compared to any other times in the past.
He said this while a noted Indian hospital construction company, Shapoorji Pallonji Company, showed their interest to provide cooperation to the health infrastructure construction of Bangladesh at a meeting held at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
"The foreigners are getting safe investment atmosphere in the country as it has political stability for the last couple of years under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," said the minister who chaired the meeting.
The government always welcomes the local and foreign cooperation coming from the private sectors for health infrastructure construction, he added.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque, Health Care Division secretary M Sirajul Haq Khan, Medicine Training and Family Planning Division Secretary Foyez Ahammed, Director General of the Health Department Professor Dr Abul Kalam, Director of Shapoorji Pallonji Company Barun Pal and other ministry high officials, among others, attended the meeting.
