2 Indian citizens held in Benapole


Customs officials arrested two Indian nationals, along with 200 land maps of six districts of Bangladesh from Benapole checkpost on Thursday.


The arrestees are--- Vikas Kumar, 25, son of Joydev Karadora and Sureh Behara, 29, son of Sudam Behar, residents of Bhabeshwar Gajapati of Odisha in India.


They are the employees of Surabaya Association of Bhubaneswar, India. They came to work for the oil line project in Chittagong's Padma oil company two months ago.


Benapole customs deputy commissioner Maruful Islam said the two Indians, arrested along with 200 pieces of survey map of six districts, were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. A case was filed, reports UNB.
