PM criticises BNP for making Tarique acting chairman

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has criticised the BNP for making Tarique Rahman, a convicted fugitive, as acting chairman of the party.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came up with the comment on Monday while addressing a press briefing  on the outcome of her recent official visit to Italy and Vatican City.

The press conference started at Gonobhaban in the capital at 4:30pm.

Sheikh Hasina went to Italy on Sunday last on a four-day official visit to join the meeting of Rome-based International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) as one of its keynote speakers at the invitation of IFAD President Gilbert F Houngbo.
