Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on Saturday evening from Italy after making a stopover in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.
An Etihad Airways flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at Shahjalal International Airport around 8:15pm, reports UNB.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina left Abu Dhabi at about 1:35pm. Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Imran and senior officials saw her off at the airport.
She arrived in the UAE on Thursday morning by an Etihad Airways flight from Rome concluding her four-day official visit to Italy and Vatican City.
In Italy, she attended the annual governing council meeting of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) at the invitation of IFAD President Gilbert F Houngbo.
At the invitation of Pope Francis, Hasina also visited the Holy See (Vatican City) and held meetings with the Pope and Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
