BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is not likely to appear before the court in connection with Barapukuria coal mine corruption case.
Earlier, a special court fixed February 18 for her appearance before it in the graft case.
The lawyer of the BNP Chairperson Advocate Sanaullah Miah said: "She will not appear before the court as the hearing on the BDR mutiny case will be held at the same court tomorrow. Rather, we will appear before it on behalf of the BNP chief."
Khaleda, who is serving a five-year jail term, is now on bail in the graft case.
Earlier, a production warrant has been sent to the jail authorities asking them to produce the BNP chief before the court tomorrow.
However, Khaleda's lawyers met the jail authorities at 3pm today and informed the journalists that she is likely not to appear before the court tomorrow.
