Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday said that BNP will take part in the next parliamentary elections even though the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia is in jail.
He came up with the statement while exchanging views with reporters at Feni Circuit House.
“Although Khaleda Zia is in jail, BNP can take part in the election. There is no need to have dialogue with them. BNP has no capacity to hold effective programs across the country after Khaleda was sent to prison,” said Obaidul Quader.
Feni Deputy Commissioner Monoj Kumar and District Awami League unit President Abdur Rahman were among others, present there.
