He who loves himself, loves his country as well. Popular film stars took an oath to raise a ‘Porichchonno Bangladesh’ along with individual cleanliness as well.
On 14th February Valentine’s Day the stars made this commitment while participating in a cleanup drive in and around BFDC organised by the Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti. Dhaka North City Corporation and ‘Dettol Channel I Porichchonno Bangladesh powered by Harpic’ campaign assisted in the program. They also took part in a rally around FDC grounds.
The campaign was participated by Dhaka North City Corporation Panel Mayor Osman Gani, Former BGMEA President and reputed businessman Atikul Islam, BFDC Managing Director Amir Hossain, Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti President and reputed Actor Misha Sawdagar, Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti General Secretary and actor Zayed Khan, actor Riaz, Ferdous, Rubel, actress Rojina, Nuton, Poppy, Keya, Odhora Khan, DNCC Chief Waste Management Officer Commodore Razzak, Marketing Director of Reckitt Benckiser and spokesperson of ‘Dettol Channel I Porichchonno Bangladesh powered by Harpic’ Syed Tanzim Rezwan.
Senior officials of City Corporation and Reckitt Benckiser with actors old and new also took part in this event.
Atikul Islam said, “The cleanliness drive undertaken by the stars is an example. If we can keep our houses clean, we can keep the country clean as well. All we need is our good will”.
Syed Tanzim Rezwan, Marketing Director of Reckitt Benckiser said, “We have organised this event to build a clean Bangladesh as well as to encourage everyone for loving our country besides our loved ones on this Valentine’s Day”.
Misha Sawdagar said, “It has also been stated in our religion that, cleanliness is a part of our faith. So we have to keep our country clean by keeping ourselves clean”.
Riaz said, “The motto of this clean up drive is ‘Mon Sundor jar, Se rakhe desh porishkar’. If we are just a little more caring, we can keep our beloved country clean and beautiful”.
Zayed Khan said, “Artists are a family and FDC is their home. That’s why we are cleaning our house. We want to urge you to keep your surroundings clean as a concerned citizen, that way we can keep the country clean”.
Poppy said, “Our viewers love us. That is why if we send them any message they accept it. We all want to live healthy. For that we have to work towards raising a ‘Porichchonno Bangladesh’”.
To aware the people about good health and cleanliness, Dettol and Channel I jointly have started ‘Porichchonno Bangladesh Campaign’ on February, 2017.
Besides direct training, it also helps to raise awareness by media. The main objective of this campaign is to make people conscious about health and hygiene every year by mass media and social networking platform.
With this objective, ‘Dettol-Channel I Porichchonno Bangladesh powered by Harpic’ has recently launched its theme song ‘Mon Shundor Jar, Shei Rakhe Desh Porishkar’ on the occasion of Victory Day of Bangladesh.
The song was sung by the famous band ‘Chirkutt’.
Ten episodes of ‘Dettol-Channel I Porichchonno Bangladesh powered by Harpic’ campaign has been started from 30 December, 2017 and is being telecasted on every Saturday on a private channel ‘Channel I’.
