Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Monday made a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the city.

The Speaker congratulated M Abdul Hamid for being reelected as the President of Bangladesh for the second consecutive term, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told journalist this afternoon, reports BSS.

During the meeting, the Speaker apprised the President of overall activities of the parliament.

President Hamid also thanked Dr Chaudhury for her overall activities in the parliament.

Secretaries concerned to the President and high officials were present.
